One of my favorite TV commercials is the one where three women are talking about some liver pills and irregularity.
There's nothing I enjoy more than a glass of iced tea, the comfort of a chair and a good television program that is interrupted by three women telling about not being able to have bowel movements.
Aha! But at long last THEY shall have relief . . . if they take the little pills (better than a laxative) regularly. Once again they can go back to playing bridge knowing that now they have established regularity.
UP ON NORTH 40.
Yup, it's hot now. I can always tell because the snow on the north side of the house always melts about this time of year.
Congratulations to the churches and scores of volunteers for promoting a successful softball season.
The church softball games are attracting larger crowds than expected.
I understand the only time [illegible]hey charge admission is when the Methodists play. Well, that's reasonable. Everyone knows when two or more Methodists congregate, someone passes a plate.
If you haven't seen the Kansas City Athletics play baseball this year at the stadium in Kansas City, then pack up the young'ns and head for the ball park.
You'll have a ball.
The Athletics stadium affords seating space that makes the spectator feel "on top" of the team throughout the game. Vision is good, concession facilities are close and there are souvenirs galore to keep memories of the day.
Take U. S. 75 south of Nebraska City, take U. S. 73 through Falls City, go west on U. S. 36 to the super-duper-pooper interstate and head south lickety-split to ole'KC. You leave the four-laners just a few blocks from the stadium.
There's all kinds of parking. You can park on anyone's Kentucky Blue grass for 50 cents or a $1.
