The new hoss addition

Correction: Our family has one summer sheared cocker spaniel, one wing clipped parakeet, four water loving turtles and one Shetland pony, thanks to the Nebraska City Saddle club. Now, if I can talk my daughters, mind you, not sons, out of one of their pets since the new hoss addition, it will be a miracle.

Just to show you how far ahead kids think, my four and a half year old daughter, Clarissa, has it all figured out how we can house the pony a few nights in our garage and a few nights in the garage of Ricky Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Larson. When we got the turtles, I tried the dear old dad stuff about taking care of them and asked her what she would feed them. She replied, "turtle food." The whole problem must be that my daughters go to bed earlier than I do.

Course, I don't have it near as rough as Glen Cohn, Ken Larson and Frank Bataillon. I may not know anything about model airplanes, cap guns and Jet Jackson but I can tell you all about Barbie dolls, can cans and be-bop socks.

From Dave McDaniel. Said Joan of Arc as she looked at her bonds and the fire around her: "I'm smoking more than usual, but I'm enjoying it less." Of course you know they are changing the name of the Untouchables . . . to the Italian Hour.
